YOU NEED TWO THINGS: A BROWSER AND A BROWSER
You already gave everything that you need to implement professional tests for as many applicants as you want. Because both the test itself and the evaluation can be run on any standard browser. In short: your applicants use a browser to do the test and you have a browser for evaluation. This has many important advantages for everyone who is involved. Your candidates complete their tasks using an individual login and can thus work at home or use any commercially available computer or tablet at your company site, in a hotel or at an exhibition centre.
More and more candidates now complete their tasks of the test on their own smartphone.
Because our test interface is also optimised for mobile version, this is also no problem. If you provide applicants with a corporate device, it is sometimes necessary that your IT department unblock the website. This tends to be the case when certain addresses that you could also use privately, such as Amazon or Facebook – and sometimes even our website – are blocked for employees.
DO YOU NEED A SPECIALLY EQUIPPED COMPUTER?
The technical equipment is very rarely a reason to call your IT colleagues. Your computer is probably not more than ten years old, and your technical equipment works with ease. If your computer is really older, you might want to make a call to the IT department to see if it actually still exists. Seriously: only in very rare cases – if you really are sitting in a workplace with Windows XP or NT – you might experience difficulties, as very old browsers do not support modern features.
DO YOUR IT COLLEAGUES HAVE TO PROVIDE YOU WITH SPECIAL AUTHORISATION?
Since JOBMATCHER runs on the browser you do not have to worry about the internal technology and will not have to inform your colleagues from IT even if there is an update. For you it is simply there. There is no local installation needed on your computer, thus it is not necessary, for example, to enter an administrator password to set up software.
YOUR IT DEPARTMENT HAS A WORD TO SAY WHEN IT COMES TO PRIVACY
This is a good thing. And we also like to talk about it. Simply because we secure all the data in two high-security data centres – one in the heart of Munich and the other in Frankfurt. Both are certified in accordance with ISO 27001. The following questions are also among the most common and important ones: does the provider conduct regular penetration tests, do they have IT security documentation, do they have separate data retention for the customer, and is there a disaster recovery plan? If you are asked any of these questions, your answer is: “yes”.
It is ensured that you have exercised your due diligence in accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act.
And in case you are asked for a completed questionnaire or a checklist for all these points, we will be glad to fill them out for you.
YOUR IT DEPARTMENT SAYS THEY WOULD PREFER TO HOST THE SYSTEM THEMSELVES
Your colleagues mean that they want to run JOBMATCHER on their own servers. Some large companies and corporations choose this solution. Especially with a very high volume of applicants the local connection to SAP make sense and can save you a lot of work. In practice, this is less common because your IT needs to meet the strict data protection and security requirements that we already adhere to. But even in this case, you do not have to worry about anything. We will share information with the IT department about the technical requirements for hosting and will make any connection secure.
YOU WANT TO UPGRADE – NOW YOU HAVE GOT TO INVOLVE THE IT DEPARTMENT?
If you upgrade from JOBMATCHER M to JOBMATCHER XL your range of functions will grow. Because everything runs on our servers and in your browser, there is nothing that could unsettle your IT department. We release all the additional features for you and the transition happens seamlessly. For up to 1000 candidates a year, JOBMATCHER S covers most of the requirements, and you should normally use JOBMATCHER M for everything else. With switching from JOBMATHER S to JOBMATCHER M, you're using an effortlessly up-scaling application format. For this reason, we transfer the data from JOBMATCHER S to a new database in JOBMATCHER M. This process can take up to two days. So where does your IT come into play? The answer is: not at all.
