PROFESSIONALISATION OF THE SELECTION OF NURSES AT A UNIVERSITY CLINIC
As in the healthcare sector the selection decisions in the area of hospital care were mainly based on application documents and traditional individually conducted interviews. Due to a steady decrease in applicant numbers and increasing competition for qualified applicants, the decision was made to integrate test procedures into the selection proces in order to identify suitable candidates as possible and to convince them sooner than competing companies. At the same time it was important to make the process attractive through the use of test procedures with a high level of medical care requirements in order to increase the number of applications.
