When these larger companies – who pay for the IG-Metall tariff instead of the textile tariff – were looking to take on qualified master craftsmen, the smaller production company was faced with a considerable fluctuation of master craftsmen, which for a time had a restricting effect on production. Against this backdrop, a “master's” programme was developed which uses psychological diagnostics to identify a pool of potential master craftsmen and continually provides them with master training thereby future fluctuation peaks can be better ironed out.
